All the technical sessions and technical exhibition will be held at the Aoba Memorial Hall, 
Faculty of Engineering, Tohoku University .
	(20 min. from JR Sendai Station by Municipal bus or Taxi)

 (Transportation)

* Tokyo International Airport - Sendai  (Recommendation from Organization Committee)

Take JR's Narita Express Train to Tokyo Station (1 Hour). Change to Tohoku Shinkansen 
(Bullet Train) to JR Sendai Station(2Hour).

*JR Sendai Station (Bullet Train - Shinkansen) - Hotels

All the  hotels reserved through the conference is located in the midst of Sendai 
city and are reached by Taxi within 10 min. from JR Sendai station (Approx. Yen 1000).

*Hotels - Aoba Memorial Hall (Conference Site)

All the technical sessions will be held at Aoba Memorial Hall,  Faculty of Engineering, 
Tohoku University. Aoba Memorial Hall is located on Aoba-Yama hill. 
In the English map posted, it is located near the dot indicated as "Faculty of Technology, 
Tohoku University" which is South-West end of the map. 

Conference buses will be operated every morning and evening between Sendai Washington 
Hotel and Aoba Memorial Hall. Detailed schedule will be announced at the registration 
desk. All the conference hotels are located within 10 minute-walk from the 
Sendai Washington Hotel.
		By Taxi: (10 min. Yen 1000). On Foot: (40 min. Yen 0)

(Technical Tour and Field Demonstration)

A Technical Tour and Field Demonstration are planned on October 2. The excursion will 
start from the conference hall after the morning sessions. A chartered bus will 
transport participants to the demonstration site at Tagajo city.  We will visit an 
archaeological site of the Tagajo provincial office from the 8th century, and 
Tohoku Gakuin University. In both sites, GPR systems exhibited at the Technical 
Exhibition will be demonstrated. 

After the field demonstration, we will visit Matsushima, one of the most famous tourist 
spots in Japan. We will have a boat tour (app. 1 hour.) in the Matsushima bay. All the 
participants to the conference are coordinately invited to this excursion and the fees 
for bus and boat are included in the registration fees. Buses will start from Matushima 
at 17:00 and will be back to hotels at 18:30. 

(Technical Exhibition)

10 venders will present GPR equipments and softwares during the conference. 
The exhibition will be held at the Aoba Memorial Hall.

(Poster Board)

For informal poster presentation and up-to-date technical communication, poster 
boards will be available at the poster session. 

(Social Event)

Conference Banquet will be held at Syozan-kan on 1. October. Buffet style dinner will 
be served. After the technical sessions, chartered buses will take the participants 
to the Japanese "Sake" (traditional rice wine) brewery. After a short tour through 
the brewery,  the banquet will be held at the nearby building. On site registration 
is available.
