7th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar
The site of each biannual international GPR conference will be decided during the GPR'96.
If you or your associates would like to host GPR'98, please submit your written proposal to the GPR'96 committee and address the following topics.
- (a) Sponsorship with sufficient technical and financial resources to operate such a conference.
- (b)General venue (where, what, how).
- (c) Details on publication of proceedings.
- (d) Registration cost in US dollars.
- (e) Accommodation costs in US dollars.
- (f) Backup resources, i.e., university printing, geological survey sponsorship, tourist, and other information
- (g) History/background of your proposed location.
- (h) Proposed date of meeting and conflict with other scientific meetings.
- (i) Cost of travel to/from major centers.
Selection of the successful applicant will be made based on the following procedures and criteria:
- (a) The selection committee will consist of the GPR'96 committee plus the chairperson (or their designated representative) from all previous GPR international meetings.
- (b) At the 4th International Conference in Rovaniemi, Finland, it was agreed that the 7th Conference would be inside North America. (8th would be outside.)
- (c) The GPR international meetings have been traditionally on a non-profit basis. Financial backing in case of revenue shortfalls and a mechanism of disposing of a surplus must be addressed in all proposals.
- (d) All submissions must nominate an attendee to GPR'96 who can respond to the selection committee's questions.
