Advanced registration by August 2, 1996 is strongly recommended for all attending GPR'96.
All the presenters for oral and poster papers must register by August 2, 1996 with payment.
2. Registration Fee
Regular registration fees include:
- *Admission to the technical sessions
- *A copy of the conference proceedings
- *Admission to the Technical Exhibition
- *Technical Tour and Field Demonstration
Student fee is applicable for a full-time student. Please attach certification. Student fee includes all the above.
Accompanying persons may also attend the Technical Tour and the Field Demonstration as noted in the registration form.
Conference banquet will be held on October 1. Registered participants and accompanying persons can attend as noted in the registration form.
3. Method of Payment
Payment must be made by cash, credit card (VISA or Master Card), money order or bank transfer. All payments must be made in Japanese Yen (\).

4. Technical Tour and Field Demonstration
A Technical Tour and Field Demonstration are planned on October 2. The excursion starts from the conference hall after the morning sessions. A chartered bus will transport participants to the demonstration site at Tagajo city. We will visit an archaeological site of the Tagajo provincial office from the 8th century, and Tohoku Gakuin University. In both sites, GPR systems exhibited at the Technical Exhibition will be demonstrated.
After the field demonstration, we will visit Matsushima, one of the most famous tourist spots in Japan. We will have a boat tour (app. 1 hour.) in the Matsushima bay. All the participants to the conference are coordinately invited to this excursion and the fees for bus and boat are included in the registration fees.
5. Purchasing Additional Proceedings
Registration fee of regular participants include one conference proceedings. If additional copies of the proceedings are needed, they can be purchased separately as noted in the registration form.
The proceedings will be avilable for those who could not attend the meeting after the conference. Please also send the registration form for application with payment. Additional charge for shipping is required.
6. Accommodation
Hotel reservation can be made by the attached Application Form for Accommodation
for accommodation.
- - Reservation will be made on a first-come, first served basis.
- - Hotels are listed in the registration form. Please indicate your choice.
- - Chartered bus will transport participants from Sendai Washington Hotel I/II to the conference site. All other hotels are located within the walking distance from Sendai Washington Hotel.
- - Any changes after 2 August 1996 must be notified to GPR'96 c/o Tohoku Communications Inc.
- - Reservation will be confirmed by Tohoku Communications Inc. only.

7. Information
Advanced program and detailed information will be sent to the registered person.
Visa is required for participants from PRC, Russia, Korea and some other countries. Participants are recommended to consult Japanese Consulates in their country.
