Induction logging technique is widely used for oil exploration and other engineering geophysics. The conventional logging tool is consists of axially symmetrical coils, resulting in axial symmetrical sensitivity.

We have proposed a new directional induction tool with tilted-coil arrangement, which can image the conductivity around the borehole.
